George Zimmerman “Not Guilty” Verdict -My 2 cents
Hey my blog family! This is your sister Dawnyb Anderson blogging today about my two cents about the George Zimmerman verdict and I have to keep real about how I feel about it because my face book page has been all a buzz about it. People are divided and I just want to say that I feel that the verdict was bogus and that he should have got “SOME” time for his crime. My thing is that a human is dead because this person wanted to play “TOP FLIGHT SECURITY GUARD” with no license or real authority to do so. I was a security guard for about 14yrs. They tell us not to engage any suspect but to get to a safe place and call the police. He called the police and what did the operator tell him? “Are you following him? Zimmerman: “YES”, 911 Operator: “Okay Stop following him, We do not need you to do that!” Zimmerman: “Okay”. Had he listened the young man would still be alive today.
Zimmerman clearly over stepped his boundaries and furthermore should have been incarcerated period. I do not care what color he or Trayvon Martin was but it is an undeniable fact that George Zimmerman did care about color. I can not believe that we with so many ethic groups living together and merging that there is still racism. I am so over this whole color issue thing. I moved into a white suburb in Ann arbor Michigan about a year and a half ago with my family (and we are black Americans) and we met with racism, someone through a half of a watermelon onto our patio and a young white boy called my daughter a the “N” word and I’m like, Really? I know that we all sometimes feed into the typical stereotypes from off of the notebooks of our minds or over just common (what I call) “kitchen table” talk (which is when you are at home in private having a candid real conversation) where you feel comfy just saying whatever first comes to mind and some may even be close to true. However, to turn it up on high ten and spout if of onto other people whether you know them or not is ignorance on its best dressed day guys.
I feel I am what you call a realist, Some people think, “Hmmm…the glass is half full” and others may say, “hmmm…the glass is half empty” but I am that one that will say, “What is that? Is that piss in that glass?” lol No one is gonna piss down my back and tell me it’s rain so with that being said, to all of the people who say, “awww that case was not about racism” Big fat what ever! Everyone is entitled to there opinion and all comments are welcome always but what I will not do is pretend. anyone who knows me knows that I will tell it like it is if you ask me. On my face book page after the verdict I was so very upset that I Blacked out my profile pic to show my contempt for the juries verdict. I was hurt truly because all of the people who sided with Zimmerman seemed to have no compassion or empathy for Trayvon Martin or his family, so what Zimmerman had a few scrapes. My question was where was Trayvon Martins right to stand his ground and fight back as they say he did.
And another disgusting thing I felt was the fact that the social media really had been really trying to discredit that young man (Trayvon martin) by showing pics of him looking like a “BAD BOY” but my thing is “OKAYYY??? who doesn’t have a rebellious pic or two?” I definitely was a hot mess when I was younger. Out hanging at the club with my girl, smoking and drinking before I got saved and gave my life over to Jesus Christ honey I was a hot rebellious mess and a friend of mines texted me a pic from several years ago of me being a whorish hot mess but that’s not who I am now. Today I am still outspoken and smart mouthed at times because I am under construction…lol Yall pray for me okay? No, but really who doesn’t have a wrap sheet from their past especially little boys. (sigh) Shaking my head.
Enclosing guys, I want to just ask that everyone pray for that family and for Zimmerman too because regardless as to what anyone believes there is a just God who sits up high and who looks down low and it is a very terrible and fearful thing to fall into his hands when it’s judgment time. So I pray that Trayvons family find peace one day soon and that George Zimmerman repents. The days are getting shorter and peoples hearts are becoming even more wicked, cynical and cold too as the days roll on, Last night my Pastors father was robbed and car jacked at gun point! He is okay, but man how evil, so becareful guys when you out here going to and fro okay? stay prayed up. Also please Pray for me as well guys. I’m getting weary of all of this mayhem and foolishness from this wretched world. My only joy these days are from helping as many people as I can in any way I can.
